We are being non-traditional eating tempura and sushi all day. It is hog heaven for us. The day started at 6:30am due to Mason waking up Talan. I was hoping to sleep in. Oh well. We have already done so much it is hard to believe it isn't even 2pm.
We caught the 1971 version of Willy Wonka which was a hoot. Mason is really into the Johnny Depp version. We have jumped on the trampoline, built elaborate marble runs as well as have Terran come and go for some playtime.
Here are some photos form earlier today. I also got Mason to sign his Turkey Dinner song despite the fact that he wouldn't do it over the phone this morning for Grandma. Here are the lyrics in case you can't understand him.
"Turkey dinner, turkey dinner
Gather around, gather around
who will get the drum stick, yummy yummy drumstick
All sit down, all sit down,
Corn bread muffins, chestnut stuffing, pumpkin pie
One foot high
We were all much thinner before we came to dinner
me oh my, me oh my"
Aunt B just arrived about an hour ago and we are already eating ice cream cones before our afternoon nap. :) A lazy glorious food indulgent day!
I just asked the boys what they were grateful for and Mason replied "bouncy balls" and Talan took a moment to respond and then said "Aunt B". Oh, how sweet. Barclay is grateful for starting to feel like she belongs here with the house, the job and Talan's gratitude. I am grateful for so many things. My family first of all. But really my whole life. I am really enjoying school. I am convinced that I am doing the right thing by applying to Nursing School. This is a huge comfort for me as I do tend to bounce around and change my mind frequently. Joe is grateful for "Briannalein". I laughed. Barclay thought that was a good answer. I think he has been listening to too much Dr. Laura. LOL Joe added that he is grateful for his "little Idaho family". I think we all agree that family is high up on the gratitude list. I am grateful Barclay moved up here, that the boys love her so and that Joe is such a great chef, organizer and partner. He always pushes me to be the most I can be which is a really great thing for me. :)
