We took the kids to the fair. Actually, Barclay took the kids and we met up with her and Michael as well as his three kids. Barclay was already looking exhausted after one hour! Poor thing. :) Here is the link http://www.northidahofair.com/. Apparently the mutton bustin' is the best thing and we knew nothing about it. Oh well, maybe next year.
We had a great time tromping around. There were some cool fun and free things for the kids to do. It took work to get them to leave. We saw lots of livestock which was fun for all of us. Mason and Mavrick played a wicked game of NASCAR with help from their dads. Mason won but his car was going backwards as it crossed the finish line to give you an idea of his skill set! The other kids really enjoyed watching the race and the guy running the booth was very strict about who got candy (all players get candy). Talan snuck a piece anyway which I thought was funny but disobedient.
Oh a funny thing that happened this morning. We made the boys Dutch Babies for breakfast http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1718,149183-244206,00.html. I don't think they have ever had them. I can remember the first time I ever had them and the name of them fascinated me. Well, after Talan ate his last bite of food, and we were all already finished, he signed "more" and "baby". He wanted to eat more Dutch baby. It was so cute. We felt bad we didn't save any to give him more. We certainly weren't about to make more, it is a project. Poor Tal. He giggled too when I was showing Joe how cute he was being signing "more baby".
I am pooped. We landscaped and did the fair and cleaned house and its just been a busy busy day.
